After the second World War turned the parish into nearly non-existent rubble, the church was renovated in 1959 to nothing more than a small cottage. The limitless efforts of the citizens poured into rebuilding their parish resulted into the church standing today, a far cry from the nipa hut that temporarily stood there. Despite the simplicity of the design, many couples are still drawn to having their wedding ceremonies at the St. Therese Parish.

Many couples continue to choose the church not only for its beautiful architecture and ambience, but also for the history behind its walls.

The Church of San Pedro Calungsod is the newest one to be added to the list of wedding churches in the city. In honor of the young Saint’s canonization, the gorgeous walls of the church was built. As part of the design to echo the old Spanish concept, towns were built around the church, and while this concept encourages to go back centuries, the architecture of the church is modern and timeless. Engaged couples looking for a contemporary ceremony consider this church the perfect choice.

The Spanish architectural design of the Archbishop Palace and its astonishing size gives it a beautiful combo of a homey and vintage vibe.
